2. Information We Collect

ulives is primarily an offline application, and we collect minimal information:

  • Crash Reports and Analytics: We use Firebase to collect anonymous crash reports and basic analytics to improve the app's performance and user experience. This information does not personally identify you.
  • Feedback Form Diagnostics: When you submit a feedback form, we automatically attach app status information such as the current version and app language. This is app state only and is not personal information.

3. Cloud Backup (Optional)

iCloud Drive (iOS):

ulives offers an optional iCloud Drive backup and sync feature. When enabled, your task data is stored in your personal iCloud Drive and synced by Apple between your devices.

This data is transferred directly between your device and iCloud Drive. We do not run a server for this feature, and we do not access or collect your iCloud Drive data.

Google Drive (Android):

ulives offers an optional Google Drive backup feature on Android. When you connect Google Drive, backup data such as your app database, settings, and any media backups you choose to include is stored in the app's private application data folder on your Google Drive account (Google Drive appDataFolder). This folder is not shown in the regular Google Drive file list.

This data is transferred directly between your device and Google Drive. We do not run a server for this feature. We do not access, collect, sell, or share your Google Drive data. Access is limited to this app's own application data; ulives cannot read your other Google Drive files.

We use this Google Drive access only to create, list, restore, and delete backups that you initiate in the app. You can disconnect Google Drive in Settings. Existing backups remain in your Google account until you delete them in the app or revoke ulives access in your Google Account settings.

4. How We Use Your Information

The limited information we collect is used solely for:

  • Improving the functionality and user experience of ulives
  • Identifying and fixing bugs or issues
  • Analyzing usage patterns to guide future development

5. Data Storage and Security

Your task data is primarily stored locally on your device. If you enable iCloud Drive backup and sync, your data is stored in your personal iCloud Drive account according to Apple's privacy and security standards. If you enable Google Drive backup on Android, your backup data is stored in your personal Google Drive application data folder according to Google's privacy and security standards.

The anonymous crash reports and analytics data collected through Firebase are subject to Google's privacy policies and security measures.

6. Third-Party Services

ulives uses the following third-party services:

  • Apple iCloud Drive: For optional backup and sync across your Apple devices
  • Google Drive: For optional backup and restore on Android, using the app's private Drive application data folder
  • Firebase: For crash reporting and basic analytics

Each of these services has their own privacy policies and data handling practices.
